The MtnGoat’s Discussion on the Focus Levels

D..

This discussion provides the MtnGoat’s descriptive explanation of the Monroe Institute’s Hemi-Sync focus-levels: 10 – 49.

Introduction
A while back I wondered whether I should write anything about the focus-levels. I asked someone I had been in a number of TMI courses with whether she thought one should do that, and her thoughts on the matter were, “Nah”.

Still, when I read the standard TMI descriptions about the focus-levels I find they are somewhat vague and I understand, as having been a student of this myself, that one may desire a more descriptive explanation.

At the risk of fostering dogma I’ve decided to write down some descriptive generalities regarding these states. After all, you’re reading my website and the best way to follow my verbiage is to know something about the environments I’m narrating in the collections’ notes.

In this discussion I address the basic levels one may become aware of while one should first understand that the numbering system of the levels is completely arbitrary. The numbers have no actual significance in themselves. The numbering scheme was developed by TMI to avoid associations some may make with levels of heaven described in some religious traditions. TMI wanted to keep the focus-level identifications benign.

It is also important to note that the focus-levels do not address all of it out there. In the TMI model some suggest the focus-levels stated here may not be the only levels that exist. That is likely. However, in my experience it is equally likely the focus-levels do not have to be discrete levels for all conscious-forms out there as some forms exist in continuums.

Consider also, this notion of the focus-level may just be a self-imposed human construct resulting from some inclination in our human disposition; a framework that we may require at some level to differentiate those environments; maybe this results from structures of the human brain, but who knows.

None-the-less, from the human point of view, there does seem to be some sort of structure out there for which the notion of focus-levels offer some sense of orientation.

Now there is a balance on the one hand of helping someone become informed/oriented regarding these levels of awareness or consciousness environments, and on the other hand, front-loading understandings or passing on some dogma regarding what these levels are or what they should be.

The reader should be aware these states may interlace; the levels may not be rigidly defined.

For myself I’ll say I have some limited proof of the focus-levels’ existence. My Evidence page (Evidence That Can’t Be Ignored) illustrates some examples of human-on-human psychic contact that occurred between individuals while in the same respective focus-level.

However, I cannot validate most encounters with other intelligent forms, particularly those beyond the Earth Life System (ELS). How does one prove who they are or what they are? How does one validate statements made by intelligent conscious-forms that are outside our physical context?

Lastly, training in hemi-sync is work. By that I mean one does not do one session on a weekend and achieve mind-blowing far-out experiences. CIA disclosed documents about TMI’s Hemi-Sync (from the Army’s remote viewing studies) state their test subjects needed about 10 sessions before they obtained any result. During on-site TMI courses it is common for many individuals to have nothing happen for a few of days while doing 4-7 sessions per day. I believe, like any meditation, one should practice near daily, maybe twice a day. For myself, working at home, it took roughly three weeks of twice daily practice before I broke through.

So here we go:

C1

C1 is our normal everyday conscious state.

Focus 10

In TMI’s Hemi-Sync multi-binaural mixed brainwave entrainment (entrancement) one begins training in Focus 10. This is how hemi-sync is encoded. Focus 10 may be considered a base-state or entry-point in which optimally one’s body is put to asleep while the mind remains awake.

It’s funny, many times at TMI I’ve heard roommates snoring during a session and I’ve startled myself out of meditations by my own snoring on a couple of occasions.

Anyway, this state takes some practice to produce; that physical state of being deeply relaxation – body asleep – while the mind remains alert – ie mind awake. Hemi-sync helps one do that.

Body asleep allows one’s awareness to begin to have more unfettered bandwidth to focus with, so to speak, supporting mind awake further. Yes one may find some kindle book all about focus 10 but it is simply this in its most basic description.

As an aside, if focus 10 was so profound, as some profitably write, TMI wouldn’t blow past that training in their Gateway Voyage course. Do things happen to people in this state? Sure, but where that really starts is beyond focus 10 which is why TMI courses are primarily conducted in F12 and beyond (sometimes focus 11).

You see the body is a big distraction. Does it need to go to the bathroom? Is it too cold or too hot? Is the skin itching? Is the pillow too soft? Is the body tense from daily stresses?

There are lots of things going on between the mind and body that distract one’s focused present awareness. The goal here is to put all that to sleep, while not actually falling asleep, to reduce the multiplexing activities of the mind’s self awareness of the body.

As an aside I’ve come in contact with people seeking their OBE experience and they are totally involved with figuring out if it feels right. Does it feel or act like some franchise, YouTube channel, or Reddit contributor said it would?

The problem with that line of thinking is the more one is focused on that stuff – the preoccupation of obtaining an OBE or worrying about why my body isn’t shaking or buzzing like Reddit says it does – the more one is actually preoccupied with their body or some form of it. As a result their body is NOT asleep and their mind is distracted from the focus-level.

I know of a popular YouTuber that talks about his OBEs and when this individual went to Gateway Voyage he thought it was just a bunch of relaxation therapy stuff and got nothing out of it. Really? Nothing?!

Here’s an example of concentric-self unable to look beyond self-indoctrination; entrenched in a concentric trap of expected OBE feelings and preconceived notions of contexts.

I understand. I too was obsessed with OBEs at one time. It’s something our popular New Age culture (franchises, Internet banter) leads one to believe, but then I learned the OBE was completely irrelevant. If you can, forget any obsession with the OBE. It’s not necessary. Advanced consciousness does not depend on an astral body.

During my Gateway onsite course there were about 25 students. All but 3 had multiple life impacting experiences. One of those three individuals knew all the latest Internet New Age lingo inside and out, even telling people what was happening to them at Gateway, but he had nearly no experiences himself at TMI.

Now I want to clarify right away, one does NOT have to have perfect control in this state before proceeding to other levels. One does not have to master focus 10 before going on to focus 12. That F10 skill comes with time and practice. One can always go back and work on that particular state during one’s more advanced training. One does not need to master any focus-level before going on. If fact I don’t think there is such a thing as “mastering” any of these levels at least for humans and don’t think you can’t move on because some TMI Gateway lesson didn’t work for you. If one can move on beyond the focus-level one is training in, then do so

In sum, in F10 one aims to deeply relax, setting aside all bodily distractions and preoccupations while remaining awake. I wish to stress one must be alert, not just awake. If one is not alert one is not vigilant to every nuance of perception and thought that may present. Alertness is what one needs in discerning the details. Focus follows alertness.

If the practitioner does fall asleep that’s ok. It happens to all hemi-sync users. The code can knock one out. In this case get a good night sleep or a few, and try again.

I should add one more thought, and this applies to all levels. Besides being relaxed… alert, one should be calm – as a still pool of water. One may not be able to do that all the time but in general this is a good mental poise.

This stance is useful when one encounters fading signals or waning communications; the way to reestablish that connection is to drop into this deep calm; open/offer your mind, and be passively receptive. One will likely still be weeding out thoughts but there are fewer when one is calm.

Focus 11

F11 is a state often not discussed. It is called The Access Channel by many TMI associates. In this state one’s body is asleep but one’s awareness is directed at the body’s systems. I think that’s all I’ll say about that. A very basic introduction to utilizing this level is in Joe Gallenberger’s MC Squared pyschokinesis course that is also available through SynCreation.Com as a home work-study. One also gets a passing exposure to this in Bob’s Monroe’s Gateway Voyage CD set. There are just one or two lessons that pertains to this. F11 is not of particular interest during the Gateway course.

Focus 12

When one successfully puts the body to sleep (more or less) while the mind is awake (pretty much) then what’s next? It is simply looking beyond self, looking beyond one’s common physical perceptions and self-absorbed, busy, and noisy thought patterns. For myself the goal here is to turn one’s gaze purely beyond oneself and observe. This is the first step into expanded awareness.

One asks, what is focus 12? I consider it simply as the local consciousness environment one is in but not normally aware of, a locale that is occupied by other agents and forces at hand, but well within the Earth Life System (ELS). It’s local but that doesn’t mean within ten feet or something. Our whole galaxy is local in a manner of speaking. One is not penetrating far so-to-speak, but consider, if one does attain an expanded awareness of the local conscious environment I’ll call it, and is not looking at that new field of view, one may not notice it.

To clarify, think about all the background noise one experiences throughout the day but does not pay attention to because one is not, or no longer, actively listening or watching it. Do we even hear the train passing by our place on the hour, every hour, or the traffic outside, now that we’ve lived in the new apartment for awhile? Is the baby crying ever louder for someone to please change its diapers cuz the parents are too busy on Facebook?

If one is still thinking about self, my OBE, my checklist of what’s suppose to happen, my inner complaints that I’m not seeing some cool etheric reality – then one’s awareness is not expanded. Here is a simple illustration of what turning one’s awareness outward is like:

Stand with both your hands in front of you while looking at your palms. This is roughly C1, one’s concentric human disposition involved with its own sphere of interests. Now turn your palms facing outward, away from you. Do not look at the backs of your hands. Close your eyes and ask yourself what your palms see? Now extend your arms, still with palms facing out. Reach out – and feel.

Without opening your eyes, look past your hands. This is not an exercise in perceiving some stored image of your surroundings via your imagination. It’s more like reaching into a previously unseen space. Can one feel it?

In this exercise notice how you shift your mind’s eye away from the status quo of your normal perceptions? How far can you feel or see? Attend to that beyond your hands. This is turning your perception outward, in a manner of speaking.

Here’s another way to look at expanded awareness: Imagine you’re down off the pass, at Morgan Junction; just outside of Yellowstone’s South Gate on Hwy 191; you turn left, heading south. Jackson Hole, WY is a hour in the distance.

You check your speed, check your fuel, another long stretch; you likely turn on more heat. You figure it’s a good time for some tunes. This is F10-F12 and if the weather is foggy or it’s snowing this is where you may stay.

Then suddenly the weather clears and you’re able to see the Tetons in the distance. This is an example of expanded awareness. You are aware of that beyond the confines of your vehicle’s locale on the road. The vista may be so wonderful you completely forget you’re driving.

You are so transfixed by the beauty of the sight there is nothing else on your mind and maybe, you suddenly find yourself standing in one of the hanging valleys that encircle the peaks. Perhaps you pull yourself back to double-check your handling of the vehicle but you quickly return to those peaks. With practice one can lock into the being there. This is what I call consolidating in my notes.

In sum, when you train in your focus-level mediation, your attention is turned away from controlling the car. Rather, train your perception to perceive outward in the metaphorical distance where those mountain peaks are hidden in the fog. Keep looking for them; maybe you’ll feel them first. This is like turning your awareness beyond your outstretched hands discussed in the example just given above. One begins to place the focus of one’s awareness beyond, undistracted by mundane local concerns.

Once there one hones the sharpness of one’s awareness. Be aware there may be something like a moose stepping onto the proverbial highway before you.

This expanding awareness is not zoned-out, but it takes some experience to become interactive. After one has a few experiences with this one will get a better idea of how to place one’s awareness.

But to be clear, it is not a visual perception one is hunting for, although there are perceptions of various forms and that is similar to visual perception in content. One does see, so to speak; just not like you’re use to.

The above is of course allegorical. One’s attention is focused on one’s awareness foremost. It’s in that awareness one may discover extended perceptions. Observe the mind’s eye, not one’s imagination.

When one does have a perception one needs to judge when the imagery is of one’s own imagination or the real deal. These types of context apprehension are different but similar enough one should beware one may be gullible to one’s own imagination for various reasons.

In F12 one may find one becomes much more single-minded. This allows one to penetrate more deeply into what one is aware of, without saying what that awareness is. This is an early effect of what hemi-sync does for an individual.

It will likely seem to be just blackness. Continue peering outward with your mind’s eye, open your awareness and pay close attention. Try to stop looking at the black background of your eyelids as you try to see something. You have to forget all those conventional inputs your mind is busy searching for because your gonna start developing new ones. One needs to let go of one’s common state of mind.

Don’t worry that its just blackness. It will take time for the mind to release the hunt for natural perceptions; for one to let go of preconceive notions regarding what one is suppose to find or wants to find.

Listen without hearing. Watch without looking. Feel without touching. Again, use the part of you that observes your mind’s eye. Consider what is it you apprehend. This may take some time and it may be discouraging at times as this is a challenging task.

Sidebar: There are things that will not presume to get involved with your quest but may respond to a request. It helps to ask for help. Google “Monroe Institute affirmation statement” for a sample request format. You should learn how to construct your own affirmation statements and they don’t have to be elaborate; just clearly determined.

One utility or application of F12 skills for example is learning to access one’s intuition or creativity at a deeper level. With practice one may associate or encode a cue for some F12 skill to be accessed later when one is back in C1. For example, encode or memorize a cue such as touching one’s nose while in F12 seeking to be more highly intuitive or creative. Then later, in C1, invoke those deeper skills developed in F12 when one needs them, by toughing one’s nose. Artist, for example, may try doing their art, so-to-speak, while listening to F12 hemi-sync.

As I’ve written elsewhere, there are now at least 17 unique phase states of solid water (ice) known in the physical sciences. Recently it has also been found that there are at least 2 phase states of liquid water. So consider, whatever the mind is – whatever frame of mind one has – there may be other states of awareness one might achieve.

Focus 15

I will not tell you the difference between focus 12 and focus 15. I will tell you however, that I disagree with TMI on this matter: focus 15 is not timeless while possessing nonlinear time at the same time. Those are contradictory claims. Ya can’t have it both ways so take those contradictory notions with a grain of salt. Don’t worry about time. Time is a point of view and F15 (and other states) exists more on the order of geologic/astronomical time (For more about the nonlinear see: What Does Nonlinear Mean?). F15 was the base state, when and where our protostar was conceived; the local awareness that brought consideration to this creation project.

It is a mistake to identify “this” level as a void. There are other fields of voids one may encounter in other locales represented by the various levels. Voids may simply be a blind-spot of human perception.

When F15 first emerged along with the collection of physical matter out of which our solar system accreted – that was the mists of focus 15 here, so to speak. This bifurcated and proliferated, nursing creativity along.

With time as local awarenesses naturally arose and developed, that led to what we call higher awareness levels. Due to its huge extent, F15 may appear timeless to a human conscious.

Consider something easy like watching your fingernails grow. Its a lot like looking at a static photograph of your fingers isn’t it. You really can’t detect any change from moment to moment, yet with a time-lapse camera you could demonstrate that time was moving forward. This is a crude example but it makes my point. Because there is no sense of time to a human does not mean time does not exist and time is not in itself nonlinear, other than perhaps in some massive torsionally distorted space undergoing the grips of a black hole. Remember, even the Earth completing thousands or millions of orbits around the Sun is hardly a blink of an eye in the course of geologic or astronomical/spatial scales of existence.

Of course all that is based on my own esoteric1 knowledge regarding the level and who can prove that?

Focus 21

What is Focus 21? That is a very good question.

It is said to be a locale which is generally the limit of living human’s normal psychic capability. It’s unclear about the physical or non-physical limits of it.

Here one is capable of being first removed and engage in other constructs of reality not necessarily coincident in time, phase, or purpose with our own physical world. Who knows what and where those are? There is – an aspect of emergence

This level may represent something like a potential overlap between the presenting physical and the nonphysical; having some continuity of sorts but one that is fluid at its margins; a place where the dead may visit and engage with the sensitive awareness of love ones for example.

Anyway, it’s something like that. There are other aspects of this environment that I will not address here as F21 is certainly more than what I just mentioned.

Note to Gateway CD users: I don’t know where else to place this comment so I’ll throw it in here.

If the reader is using the Gateway Voyage CDs for home hemi-sync self-training, purchased from Amazon, TMI, or somewhere else, depending on the version of the CDs, in the focus 21 training tracks, the user is directed to expand as one transitions to F21; to expand into the light…. “a warm, calm, peaceful light”.

This can be a frustrating challenge to the user who is led to believe there is a light but the user can’t find that light or any of it’s stated attributes. That is because there is in fact no light (just because one is transiting focus-levels). This is a heuristic narrative gimmick; part of the lesson’s auditory choreography.

Other versions of Gateway F21 tracks may have the user expand through levels of colored light. There are no color levels either. A person can waste a lot of time thinking they’re doing something wrong when these prescribed lights are not found; fostering self-doubt, so don’t get hung up on not seeing what TMI says.

As an aside, in narrations by Robert Monroe, when accessing focus 10 and 21, he directs the student to “use the method you have learned”. This too may be troubling. What is that method, the student frets!?

In all my years of visiting TMI, I have never heard of any “method” for accessing F10; the only one I know of for F21 is the advised imaginary lights described above.

Don’t worry about that either. Just ignore all that stuff and go your own way.

For F21, at that portion of the lesson when the narration makes the transition, what one needs is a method to somehow inspire one’s mind to track along with the mind-changing bandwidths; that is following the hemi-sync’s frequency progression on the lesson track.

The trick here, though not explained in the lesson track, is to make one’s own mental aid to help facilitate the mind’s desired migration along with the progressing hemi-sync frequencies as they sweep from F12 to F21 during that portion of the track.

One may create for example, an imaginary light in the distance and try to travel to that light while mentally associating the arrival at the targeted light with arriving in F21.

Or one may create an elevator and visualize passing from the 12th floor to the 21st floor as the hemi-sync signal advances to F21, as another example. These sorts of illustrations may help one’s mind coast along with the translating hemi-sync.

The key here is to find some mental mechanism one may associate with the translation of the F12-F21 frequencies one is listening to.

Don’t worry about it. If one has successfully made it to these F21 lessons at all one will likely acquire F21 soon enough.

As an aside, it is a mistake to seek out or expect some specific feeling that will characterize some focus-level or state one may be in. There are all sorts of feelings, or lack of feelings, one may encounter, but feelings do not necessarily reproduce the fundamental characteristics of some level.

Think of a focus-level as an environment that may contain locales, objects, and/or entities. Feelings are most commonly related to contact with the respective objects et al within the environment. Don’t get fixated on expected feelings. If one comes along study it carefully. It’s the clairvoyant apprehension one seeks but yes, one does pay attention to one’s feelings as another modality of perception.

Spoiler Alert: One can learn, on one’s own, to access levels thru F21. That may be very challenging but it can be done. That is more readily done via the Gateway Voyage hemi-sync CDs available to the general public. However, to get beyond that (F21), to the levels discussed below, in all likelihood one would need hemi-sync that is only available as a take-home CDs to those who have attended on-site TMI advanced courses. However, I read somewhere, but don’t know, that TMI has made Wave Set 7 which includes hemi-sync for F27 is now provided in the Gateway product line. As an aside I think it is reckless of TMI to give away code for F23 – F27.

Another comment: even if one does all the above on one’s own, to take any advance TMI course one must first fulfill on-site course prerequisites at TMI. That is for example, if one wishes to attend the Lifelines course, the Gateway Voyage course must be taken first on-site at TMI. Now however, TMI’s new virtual-online Gateway course may meet the prerequisite for advance course, but using the CDs or Gateway Tapes as they’re called does not satisfy the prerequisite.

My strong advice: for the cost of the online course, spend more and go to TMI for the Gateway Course where one may be sure of a strong psychic environment. Be aware there are virtual courses that are just the Gateway course broken into smaller courses. For the serious student I cannot recommend any virtual courses as a substitute for core courses onsite. Identify the TMI core courses onsite you’re interested in and then go to TMI.

F22

This state is one in which the present mindedness of an individual who may be in a coma or delirium, for example, struggles to make sense of their frame of mind; a state of confusion that is quasi-conscious but no longer aware of C1.

This state may be adrift near the threshold of dead’s departing consciousness while some portion of life may still be holding to the physical. Some are not ready to proceed and return to C1 when their condition resolves. For others this state could be passed through on the way to dead’s departure; possibly caused by a stroke or head trauma, or during a drug overdose. In sum, this is a state in which a human could be disoriented or bewildered as the person may lack any association with the normal but not be able to grasp the afterlife.

F23

This is the conscious/locale where the body’s spirit or soul – whatever – has departed in what we call death. This is where one first finds oneself when one dies and is part of a natural migration that should not be feared.

However, some individuals may be so strongly transfixed on some binding thought at death that they are unable to let go of their former physical form’s conscious context. For these special assistance may be needed. This is the realm where, if needed, soul-retrievals are rooted.

In that case, as the departed individual is transfixed with some notion of the former form, the individual is not aware of those around them who would help them migrate. Don’t freak, these individuals are not forgotten nor hopelessly trapped. They just need someone with a hint of physical residue they can recognize to help them snap-out of it, so they may turn to F23.

It is very important to state that just cuz a person dies, or even commits suicide, does NOT mandate the person be stuck and need a soul-retrieval. The need for a soul-retrieval is an exception, not the rule. It doesn’t result from some law that was violated. In my experience only about one third of soul-retrieval’s were rooted in suicide events.

I should clarify one more thing: this is not a state of torment, nor some intermediate desperate terrible suffering one is punished with. The individual is simply fixated on their dying thought(s) and is not aware of their option to move on. I have not observed, in any soul-retrieval, that the individuals were aware of the passage of time during their predicament. Again, this is a rare exception in the passing event.

Lastly, to be clear, those passing on or stuck needing a retrieval, are not the only ones occupying F23.

F24-26

Roughly speaking, this region is often referred to as the Belief Territories in TMI speak; the consensus realities of many, or just one individual; framing their post-human reality in some preconceived or otherwise agreed construct. Those individuals are not in general bound by external means and may leave whenever they can get beyond their belief or when whatever maturing process completes for the individual or group. We do not know what mechanism manifests these places or circumstances.

As there are clearly non-religious based belief contexts there, it is a mistake to associate these areas with large or small organized religions as if those are somehow to blame for the existence of these zones. In fact, I have never encountered any faith-based belief territories there. We do not know why these regions exist, nor do we know why religion plays the role it does in the human psyche. We don’t know the deeper purposes working out in these so-called levels.

These regions may represent heavens and that which is much worse. It is extremely prolific as are the notions of what people expect or hope for after they die, or what the transition process for some need be. There are those that exist there in complete bliss, so it is best to not judge these states as that is likely the psychic traveler’s own prejudiced belief systems, or front-loaded dogma, acting out.

There are also those that reside in the Belief Territories with full knowledge that other states exist. Some, perhaps all of those individuals, are able to move among other states and then return to their chosen residence in the Belief Territories for whatever reason. All that likely pertains to some greater purpose of the belief system or the purpose of these specific individuals in that system. One more time, there is nothing wrong with the Belief Territories.

It should be noted that not all upon death, necessarily take up residence in the Belief Territories. Rather, some proceed beyond those territories directly to focus-level 27 for whatever reason or personal disposition.

The Lifelines course introduces F22 – F27.

F27

Focus 27 is beyond the human self-limiting mindsets or whatever the purpose is of the Belief Territories. This F27 region is the limit of the Earth Life System (ELS). Although one may find non-human intelligences in all levels, this level and beyond this is the realm of the non-human, non-Earth based forms of life, physical or not. The Exploration 27 course focuses on an introduction to some of the particular aspects and acting agents of F27.

F27 is also the location of what TMI has manifestly generated called TMI-There. This manifest construct, or whatever one thinks it is, is utilized in advanced TMI’s group activities. Focus 27 is also the domain where TMI suggests the student create a happy place, that is a F27 home-base for oneself. In TMI speak, that is called one’s Special Place (SP or SP27 in my notes).

F34/35

Just beyond the Earth Life System (ELS) is F34/35 which represents what is roughly called alien consciousness along with the various constructs (natural or not) they may utilize. These entities are relatively similar to humans in terms of sharing compatible conscious frames of mind and that is why F34/35 is found to be occupied by alien awarenesses, not because those aliens are gathering to watch Earth as TMI states although some may do just that. The ELS may be watched from all levels by those interested. I should say I have never heard an explanation as to why this state is called 34/35.

F34/35 is the location of another TMI manifested construct called the Voyager 8 vessel or just V8 for short. This construct is used in group-energy exercises in the Starlines courses.

F42 & F49

One should recognize that humans tend to think in human-centric terms and scale; both spatially and in time. That can be a limiting factor.

These levels may represent regions of consciously aware forms that possess extents of awareness far beyond what mankind can conceive of: individuals, groups, structures, cultures that work on galactic and supra-galactic scales; the vast nonphysical formed states, spaces – planes of nonphysical expression representing other types of conscious-forms that may exist in transcendent measures of time and trans-dimensional extents of the Cosmos. Those of F34/35 may be encountered here as well.

I’ll mention one thing with respect to TMI’s system of beliefs. I have never encountered anything that I would call, or anything that announced itself as, a Cluster Council, an I-There Cluster, a Sea of I-There Clusters or… wait for it… I-There SuperClusters. I cannot endorse this front-loaded religion of Me(s).

I won’t say more about F42/F49; again to not front-load the reader any further as these notions can easily become dogmatic and propagate. In general, dogma may initially provide some guidance but may also dispose an individual with self-limiting mindsets.

It is important each individual study their own experiences, their notes, and develop their own understandings; studying their intuition; not being blindly guided by whatever forms of narration and media they’ve perused. Commonly one needs to be interrogative in the respective focus-levels to accomplish that.

Enter the levels with an open mind and avoid front-loading human-centric group-think when in these realms.

Be calm. Be patient. Contemplate the purpose of the journey you seek; what it is you truly need to know.

All the levels discussed are certainly far more than what is described above. I offer this info so one may have some idea of context when reading my notes.

Final word:

Some may focus heavily, or insistently, on TMI methods and tools such as resonant tuning, energy conversion box, and/or the REBAL for example. Don’t get hung up on these constructs. I haven’t used them in years, but use them as they suit your style. If imagining colors helps you transition to F21 go ahead and use that. You can always change it later. This is partly what ritual provides; adding process that may better prepare one for settling into that unique state of mind.

Also, after sufficient training one should try meditations via mnemonics w/o hemisync; test whether you no longer need hemi-sync. In other words, accept these ideas as student aids or training tools and don’t get dogmatic about methodologies. Do try freestyle non-hemisync meditations on occasion. If neglected your skills will fade.

Keep track of your sidereal time (see Sidereal Time and Psychic Ability).

A related topic that pertains to focus-level training: What are the ‘Mnemonics’?

  1. For an academic introductory text on this topic see: Western Esotericism: A Guide for the Perplexed by Wouter J. Hanegraaff. Hanegraaff is Prof of History of Hermetic Philosophy and Related Currents at the Univ. of Amsterdam and President of the European Society for the Study of Western Esotericism. ‘Western’ here does not imply an exclusion of world-wide esotericism, rather it indicates the context of its understanding. This text assists one in understanding the roots and evolution of our New Age movements and the tension between that and conventional religions. However, it should be stated the MtnGoat’s website more precisely pertains to the world of mysticism, which is not the same as esotericism. If interested Hanegraaff’s text is available as a Kindle book at Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=western+esotericism+a+guide+for+the+perplexed&crid=33NRVK0MMMS45&sprefix=Western+esotericism%2Caps%2C265&ref=nb_sb_ss_p13n-pd-dpltr-ranker_3_19
