The Start of Hemi-Sync: The Gateway Voyage

My journey into Hemi-Sync “consciousness” environments began in early October of 2014. Having been trained to think critically and being a skeptic by nature I had no idea what to expect from any of this stuff – if anything.

To clarify for the reader, in these initial chapters I will be writing about my experiences from what some call the out-of-body (OBE) point of view just briefly. As chapters proceed I will be speaking less and less about that.

In time, as I got use to coming and going in a variety of manners, I really didn’t dwell on the OBE aspect of it at all, so in my writings I focus primarily on the content of the contacts, places, discussions, and relationships that developed. If the reader is seeking a how-to induce an OBE these readings will do address that. I do however provide more detail about the environments encountered in the Info and Resource sections.

As an aside, some readers may think, gee this stuff is really cool – that’s what I want to do. To those that may think that I can assure you a life caught between worlds, dimensions – whatever – is not easy and it’s certainly not fun. And although some may think it would be a blast to do soul-retrievals (how cool would that be) retrievals can be a traumatic experience in themselves for the psychic traveler. To engage the Beyond – authentically – warrants a sober attitude. Be careful what you wish for.

Also, I’m not writing this to provide an endorsement as to what Hemi-Sync will do for the reader. I know people who got the Gateway CD sets (previously called tapes) and initially found them to be useless at home but once they went to TMI and took the Gateway Voyage course things opened up for them. I’m writing in the context of Hemi-Sync because that had a lot to do with how things progressed for me in the initial years of its use.

So, how did Hemi-Sync work for me? When I started the Gateway Voyage CDs I didn’t actually think anything would happen and so I only acquired the first CD set. There are seven sets of CDs (each set has 3 disks) in the whole program. In TMI product marketing speak each set is called a Wave.

The newer English Gateway Voyage CD program is offered in seven Waves of lessons and I believe the series is available in Japanese, Chinese, German, and French. Some languages may have six Waves.

Anyway, as mentioned previously, at that early time I did start reading part of one of Bob Monroe’s books and decided to stopped reading it because I did not want to be pre-condition (what I call front-loading) myself with any particular interpretation or expectation of what I should encounter in these states. When I finished the set called Wave One (having no experiences) I realized that set was just basic training and so I decided to moved on to Wave II, the second set of 3 CDs in the course.

By the week prior to October 27th I had worked through Wave III (the third set of three CDs) in the full seven Wave sets of the Gateway Voyage course. This is when things began to “happen” for me. At this point in the series one has only been introduced to focus 10 and focus 12. I think it’s best to not say too much about what focus-levels pertain to at this point.

Once I was into the focus 12 lessons there were a number of experiences that were just so utterly incredible and vividly clear that I realized I had to start writing notes about what was happening. With these experiences came the difficult adjustment to recognizing there are other realities besides our own and most people are not aware of them. This began to test my mental and emotional capacities as the experiences were often shocking.

As an aside, I encourage anyone going through this process to write careful notes about their experiences. In the process of writing one recalls more details about the experience; equally important is what one may recognize in hind-sight while reading one’s notes. There may be linkage, themes, and hidden meaning in one’s notes that may further elucidate the whole experience later in time.

Commonly, there is repetition in the notes as I was documenting details about each event that pertained to technique so-to-speak. I have not redacted them out because they are still meaningful.

So here we go. Following are my notes regarding my experiences and the deep internal struggle I found myself in as I ventured farther, or deeper, into the Beyond.
